Trude Storelvmo is a Professor in Atmospheric Science in the Department of Geoscience at University of Oslo. She received her PhD in Meteorology in 2006, and then did a 3-year post doc at ETH in Zürich, Switzerland. She thereafter worked as an Assistant Professor (2010-1015) and Associate Professor (2015-2017) at Yale University, before taking her current position in January 2018. Prof. Storelvmo’s research focuses on understanding Earth’s changing climate, and particularly on how climate is impacted by clouds and aerosol particles. She works on research questions related to cloud-climate feedback mechanisms and Earth’s transient and equilibrium climate sensitivity, as well as climate engineering involving aerosols and/or clouds. Prof. Storelvmo is a Coordinating Lead Author for Ch. 7 («Earth’s Energy Balance, Feedbacks and Climate Sensitivity») in the 6th Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and currently holds a Starting Grant from the European Research Council. To date she has published ~60 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
